Awakening Your Next Chapter: Heart-Led Reinvention & Magnetic Living with Kim Lawler
After 33 years in the OR, Kim Lawler answered a soul-nudging call—shifting from nursing to mediumship and intuitive coaching for women in midlife and beyond. In this conversation, we explore how heart coherence, daily meditation, and listening for “glitter breadcrumb” signs can turn an empty-feeling next chapter into one filled with purpose, joy, and magic.
We get into: choosing love over outrage (especially on social), the difference between a hobby that fills time and a soul-led practice that actually nourishes you, leveling up at any age, and practical ways to connect to the frequency of the life you want. Kim shares how guided practices like Kirtan Kriya support cognition, reduce anxiety, and help you drop into alignment faster—plus why community and small, consistent rituals matter more than perfection.
Kim’s hosting her Magnetic by Nature webinar for women ready to co-create their next chapter with clarity and grace. Learn more and sign up at magnetic.hearttosoulconnection.com (main site: hearttosoulconnection.com).

6
::Kim Lawler: Thank you, Jill. It's great to be here.
7
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Okay, so what's the most significant thing, in your opinion, as individuals, we can do to make an impact on how the world is going?
8
::Kim Lawler: I feel like being heart-centered is the thing, really, because I know that
9
::Kim Lawler: I was being consumed by hate at one time, with all the craziness that's going on, and when I…
10
::Kim Lawler: connected with my heart again, my soul, I was able to now send love out, even when it's difficult, and I feel like if we all could do that, or even those of us who are willing to do that, and do it on a regular basis.
11
::Kim Lawler: I do believe it would make a huge difference, and in fact, I do believe it is making a difference.
12
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I think it's making a difference, too. Sometimes you can look around, and people… people have blind spots that
13
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: If you can connect to your own heart, And…
14
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Remember that we are all connected.
15
::Kim Lawler: Dude.
16
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And whenever you start
17
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: there's… there's a thing that happens, that happens on social media quite a bit, where people will blast other, groups sometimes, or individuals, and… and they're just like, why can't we all get along? It's like, hmm…
18
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: You were just over there, like…
19
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: stir in the pot, and then you want to… you want the pot to not be stirred. You can't have it both ways, and they just don't… it doesn't register with them, because it's… it's a heart issue. It's, like, the…
20
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: they don't understand that we're all, like, we are all connected. Even the people that drive you crazy.
21
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: They're connected to you, too! And what you think about them really does impact how they impact you.
22
::Kim Lawler: Yes, I agree with that, 100%.
23
::Kim Lawler: And it's so easy to be sucked in to, especially on social media, to the hate, and, you know, and retaliating with hate. And it's good to see when somebody, like.
24
::Kim Lawler: You know, brings in a love sentence instead, and it's, oh, okay, okay, they're, they're working it, you know?
25
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, it's just, like…
26
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I don't personally think there's, like, good or bad. There's just how we choose to experience the thing we're going through. I was just reading something
27
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Kind of blew my mind before we started this conversation. It was about…
28
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: the gentleman calls it the monad, which is… beyond consciousness. It's… It's… it's whatever you…
29
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: embrace as the being, but it… it does everything through you. You're not actually living your own life. We're having all of these experiences, but we're not individuals.
30
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: well, we are individuals, but we're not. It's like, if you could imagine God experiencing everything all at one time.
31
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: for all the consciousness that happens. Every single Instant.
32
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's just like…
33
::Kim Lawler: So my mind was kind of blown before we even got on this call. Yeah, yeah, that's… it's… it is mind-blowing when you start thinking of all the quantum universe and all of it. I mean, everything, everywhere, all at once.
34
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah!
35
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It was a great movie, but it was great because…
36
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It really does bring in all the potential.
37
::Kim Lawler: That we all experience.
38
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
39
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I'm… You were a nurse.
40
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Are you still a nurse?
41
::Kim Lawler: Technically, yes, I still have my license.
42
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Okay, and what kind of nurse are you?
43
::Kim Lawler: I worked in the operating room for over 25 years, and then, I gave flu shots and volunteered at the Red Cross, that sort of thing, during my semi-retirement.
44
::Kim Lawler: And then I just retired. Yeah.
45
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Okay, so you've experienced a lot of different, encounters, I'm sure, with the supernatural.
46
::Kim Lawler: She's kidding.
47
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: be in that state where you're taking people from consciousness to unconsciousness, and not experience the supernatural around.
48
::Kim Lawler: Oh, absolutely.
49
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Even in the healing part of Of that world.
50
::Kim Lawler: Yeah, I mean.
51
::Kim Lawler: I feel like during certain procedures, like, organ procurement, when someone has… is brain dead, and they're literally
52
::Kim Lawler: dying in front of us after, you know, we take out their organs. I mean, I…
53
::Kim Lawler: really felt like their souls were, like, we could feel… because we always had a moment of silence at that time, and I'm glad they did do that, because it just… there was just this feeling and this knowing.
54
::Kim Lawler: That they were moving on.
55
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Huh.
56
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: yeah.
57
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: There's this, like…
58
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: There's things we just can't explain, and how did that play into your… your moving into the,
59
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: The field that you're working in now, in terms of…
60
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I don't want to say clairvoyance.
61
::Kim Lawler: My intuitiveness in medium.
62
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Your mediumship, that's… that's what I was struggling for.
63
::Kim Lawler: Well, so, most of my life, I've been very spiritual, and then, about 10-ish years ago, I went through a very, like, oh, God, what is happening? Why are we, you know, is there even a God type of thing.
64
::Kim Lawler: And I think I needed to go through that, because then I did this reawakening where I felt my mother and my brother who had passed, they came to me. And,
65
::Kim Lawler: And so, all that… and then, so, going back and looking at my life again, thinking, oh, this happened, and this happened, and this happened, yes, I've been very spiritual, and…
66
::Kim Lawler: I don't know why I disconnected for that short time, except to know that
67
::Kim Lawler: I just came into it harder when it came back. It was like, okay, thank you for bringing me back into the fold, because I need it.
68
::Kim Lawler: And, yeah, it's been great.
69
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I have a similar experience in my life, where you just, like.
70
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: it's just who you are for the longest time, and then you're like, well, there must be something broken with me, because not everybody's like this, so maybe I should go and look and see what other people are doing. And then you realize as you get much older, for me it was much older,
71
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, they're… they're… they're broken down.
72
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I'm just gonna go back to what I know worked.
73
::Kim Lawler: Right. Right. If it works, why fix it?
74
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But sometimes we have to go through that… that journey.
75
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
76
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: So I know a lot of women feel lost or empty after retirement or major life changes. What do you believe their souls are really craving?
77
::Kim Lawler: Some sort of purpose, and this is what happened to me also during, during COVID. I had previously been watching my grandkids, and, working as a volunteer, and,
78
::Kim Lawler: you know, doing all the things, you know, being a nurse, so I had… I had a very clear purpose, right? And when I retired, and I wasn't able to watch my grandkids, and nobody was around, I just felt lost. And so…
79
::Kim Lawler: reconnecting to find that purpose again, to see what my next chapter is. Because, you know, a lot of people are like, okay, I'm retired, now what? Or they're… I'm retired, now I'm just gonna go traveling and do this and do that. But they might still have this empty feeling, because they're not necessarily fulfilling their soul's purpose. We kind of forget why we're here.
80
::Kim Lawler: And so when you connect to your soul, you start to realize, oh, yeah.
81
::Kim Lawler: I'm here to do this. I'm… I feel like this calling again. And having been a nurse, I really had a real secure knowledge that I had a calling to be a healthcare worker, and I've done it most of my life. And so when this calling came.
82
::Kim Lawler: at first, I kind of went dragging, kicking and screaming, you know? I didn't really want to do it, like, professionally.
83
::Kim Lawler: But I kept getting this information saying, this is what you need to do, and so I was like, okay. So I feel like other women finding their purpose so that they can live out the last chapters of their lives being fulfilled.
84
::Kim Lawler: And doing what, you know, their life is here for, what their soul is here for.
85
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I love that. And is that what your book is about?
86
::Kim Lawler: Yes, yes, it's about trying to find that way back, and finding the connections, however… the earthly connections, the heavenly connections, all the ways that the universe has provided us
87
::Kim Lawler: to help us. And… and using those… I mean, angels are, like, my… my… one of my big things. I love angels, and because they've done so much for me, and I really call on them daily.
88
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I think the more that we call on the supernatural that's around us all the time, the… the easier our lives become, because we're not just so focused on
89
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: the…
90
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: the nitty-gritty of day-to-day life, which can be really draining, and make you feel like, oh, I'm supposed to do certain things, or I've reached this point in my life, so this is how I'm supposed to present myself, and
91
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: just leaning into the supernatural, I just, like…
92
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It just kind of opens doors and allows you to just exist and appreciate the experience that you're having at any given moment, rather than trying to plan the next moment and…
93
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Missing the one that you're experiencing right now.
94
::Kim Lawler: Yeah, yeah. And struggles, I mean, I certainly still have struggles, we all do, but seeing them in a different way makes them less,
95
::Kim Lawler: less difficult, you know? I mean, you can get through the challenge. And then, you know, it's like the leveling up. You get through the challenge, and you go to the next thing, right?
96
::Kim Lawler: Because we decided.
97
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Excuse me.
98
::Kim Lawler: eating those.
99
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I saw something over on Substack the other day, I was,
100
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I'm not gonna count my age anymore, I'm just gonna call it leveling up to this level.
101
::Kim Lawler: That's perfect.
102
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Level 65!
103
::Kim Lawler: Yeah, exactly.
104
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Kind of makes you feel like… I'm achieving something!
105
::Kim Lawler: Right, right, right. Instead of aging, you know, yeah, exactly.
106
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: What is age but a number?
107
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Like, it's up to you to have the experience you want to have, and…
108
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: it's your choice. We get to choose every day, every moment, you know, how… how are we going to approach this… this next challenge? Are we gonna…
109
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Keep having to repeat it because we're grousing about it, or are we gonna just embrace it as an experience and move through it with grace?
110
::Kim Lawler: Right. And because you brought up the quantum and that sort of thing earlier with everything, everywhere, all at once, part of what I teach is
111
::Kim Lawler: Connecting to that frequency that you want.
112
::Kim Lawler: to get to whatever it is you think you want, or whatever's for your highest good. Because sometimes we don't even really know what we really want, right? And so, allowing the universe to help us figure that out.
113
::Kim Lawler: Just, yeah, connecting to those, because there are… there are choices. We don't have to keep doing the same thing over and over.
114
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And we can change.
115
::Kim Lawler: Yes.
116
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: There's… Today I could be one thing, tomorrow?
117
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Something totally different.
118
::Kim Lawler: fittings.
119
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's not, like.
120
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: hard, fast rule that says, nope, you have to stay in this lane. I mean, look at you. Nursing for 33 years to becoming an intuitive medium and a coach?
121
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: That's kind of…
122
::Kim Lawler: Yep.
123
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Very different, but I, you know, I honor your decision to do it. I think it's fantastic.
124
::Kim Lawler: Thank you.
125
::Kim Lawler: Yeah, it's been interesting because, certainly, you know, the people around me, my family has all accepted it now at first, you know. I mean, I've always been a little bit witchy and a little bit like that, so my kids totally get me when it comes to that.
126
::Kim Lawler: My husband, he supports me and accepts it, but he doesn't believe any of it, so… it's okay. We can still live in the same universe.
127
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, my… I…
128
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Think of my husband as someone who pulls me back out of the clouds, because he doesn't…
129
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: He's not there either.
130
::Kim Lawler: Yeah, yeah. We don't have conversations about this sort of stuff.
131
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: my podcast, so I can talk to people about these sorts of things.
132
::Kim Lawler: Yes, exactly, we have to connect with our own community sometimes.
133
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
134
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But it makes our relationships with those that are around us
135
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: richer, too, because we can… we can have compassion for them and the experience that they're having, without having to have a judgment about it.
136
::Kim Lawler: Oh, red.
137
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: or bad to not… Want to explore these things.
138
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: just the way it is, and it can be fun, but it doesn't have to be the whole of my life. I don't have to, like, turn away from and deny who I am in order to live in that
139
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: In that world, that's his world.
140
::Kim Lawler: Right. Thank goodness for that, too, right? I mean, we might not have been able to say that all along in history, but now we're…
141
::Kim Lawler: at a point where women can say, okay, this is what I'm doing.
142
::Kim Lawler: And, you know, you can't drag me down, because I won't get dragged down.
143
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, and it's really something that's fairly new in modern times, the last 150 years at least, where women have been able to say.
144
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: no, this is who I am, and it's okay, and I can love you as a partner, and want to spend time with you, but I don't have to be…
145
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: part of you. I can be fully me, and you can be fully you as an adult human being.
146
::Kim Lawler: Yes, exactly!
147
::Kim Lawler: Exactly.
148
::Kim Lawler: And I do love my husband for the support he gives me for this. I mean, it's… that's a good thing.
149
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah. That is a good thing.
150
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: So…
151
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: How can women tell the difference between a hobby that fills time and a soul-led practice that truly nurses them?
152
::Kim Lawler: Oh, that's a great question. I feel like you're…
153
::Kim Lawler: Most likely have already received some sort of knowing of what it is that is calling you, whatever your purpose is.
154
::Kim Lawler: And you've probably been living it out in some way or another, maybe not fully. So, when you're embracing that, you just feel like your cup is full, like, you know, it's… you kind of have this inside smile as well as an outside smile. When something feels like drudgery, or…
155
::Kim Lawler: And you have to do it, then it's probably not something that's filling your cup and giving your soul what it needs.
156
::Kim Lawler: And also looking for the signs. I mean, I ask for signs all the time, because I know I will start to see them, and the more you see them, the more it's like, oh, okay, this makes sense for me, because this is the path I'm following. And it's, like, not as clear as following breadcrumbs.
157
::Kim Lawler: But it's almost like following breadcrumbs, because sometimes some of them get wiped away, and you may not realize you stepped on some, but you can still get back to following over time.
158
::Kim Lawler: They'll always be there.
159
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: When you were talking about that, in my head, I was thinking breadcrumbs, like glitter, that sometimes it's glowy, and sometimes they kind of fade away.
160
::Kim Lawler: Yes.
161
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: You can't see them, but the more that you ask for them to become visible, they do become visible, and you can see where they are and move back.
162
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
163
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's so easy as human beings to forget.
164
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: We're… we're masters at forgetting.
165
::Kim Lawler: Yes, my guides, what I should be doing, and…
166
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I've fallen in love with,
167
::Kim Lawler: tarot cards?
168
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And for a period in my life, I thought they were…
169
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: demonic, but what I've learned about tarot is that it's… it's just your subconscious
170
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's just a physical thing that you can use to help your conscious.
171
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Connect to your subconscious and come up with ideas and… and signals and, messages.
172
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: that you're telling yourself. It's not like some outside sources Magically making these things happen.
173
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Right, right. It doesn't even really matter what cards come up.
174
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
175
::Kim Lawler: And we all have free will, you know, and I always say, to a degree, because there's a lot of things that affect our free will, but we certainly can either follow what the cards are saying, or completely ignore them.
176
::Kim Lawler: And the outcome is going to be the outcome either way. You just have to keep going through it, and you might… it might… excuse me… it might give you a really good sign as to which way to go, which path is opening for you next.
177
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, and it's not like… they don't… Cards don't…
178
::Kim Lawler: talk. -
179
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's… it's not like getting guidance from… from your guides or angels, or whatever, the supernatural, because they do actually talk.
180
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: In some ways. They… they make messages known to you, and… but things come up when you ask for signs. Signs happen all the time.
181
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But it's up to us to interpret what they mean.
182
::Kim Lawler: Yeah, it's really…
183
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's rare that you'll just get, like, a written thing that says, do this.
184
::Kim Lawler: Sometimes.
185
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But it's more rare. Usually, it's something that nobody else would get, but you see it, and you're just like.
186
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Oh!
187
::Kim Lawler: Yep, yep. And sometimes I get just this thought that just kind of keeps coming back, and I'm like… and finally I'll be like, oh, I guess I'm supposed to do that. And it usually happens at, like, you know, as I'm trying to fall asleep or something. And it's like, oh, okay.
188
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Now you're awake for 3 more hours.
189
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
190
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Trying to ignore it.
191
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
192
::Kim Lawler: Exactly.
193
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, I thought…
194
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: That happens. So how do you coach people? Is it, like, one-on-one? Is it groups? Do you have community? How does… how does all that look?
195
::Kim Lawler: I have mostly done one-on-one in the past, and I'm trying to move toward group, because…
196
::Kim Lawler: what I've found that works really well for me are a couple… is meditation. I mean, you know, there's…
197
::Kim Lawler: Anybody who's ever done serious meditation will tell you meditation is the thing. And there's a couple of real specific ways of meditating that have been studied.
198
::Kim Lawler: to show that, like, there's the Kurtankriya, which I teach, and this is why I talk about, as we sage, because it's preserving your cognition, and it's been proven to help with this. It's also been proven to help with anxiety and depression and, chronic inflammation.
199
::Kim Lawler: And…
200
::Kim Lawler: those kind of scientifically proven ones, for me, are very important because there's something behind it. I'm not just saying it, or some, you know, it didn't just come from an ancient practice, although those ancient
201
::Kim Lawler: People who created these things really knew what was going on.
202
::Kim Lawler: Because there's other ways, you know, the whole reaching your frequency. This isn't something that's just become out recently. This is something that people have practiced for thousands of years. They're just now studying it and seeing how well it actually works.
203
::Kim Lawler: So meditation and teaching the meditation, and actually meditating during a session, as well as just talking about the ideas of joy and magic and awe, and trying to incorporate it into your life, as well as love.
204
::Kim Lawler: on a regular basis, like… like sending love to you right now, you know, just kind of opening it up and sending it love out into the universe as… honestly, as regularly as you can think of it would be great. I mean, I know that's a little bit fantastical, but whenever you can, especially if you're having a hard moment.
205
::Kim Lawler: Before going into a difficult conversation, talking to your soul, and maybe even an angel or two, and saying, hey, just stay on my side, and let me keep this going well, and going in a way that,
206
::Kim Lawler: is,
207
::Kim Lawler: that is positive, and so that it helps, not so that I'm, you know, making the problem worse, whatever it is. And… and I feel like I've come out with a lot more,
208
::Kim Lawler: especially with my adult children, I was having a little bit of difficulty there with a couple, and so I kept trying to practice this before I'd call them, I'd ask.
209
::Kim Lawler: Just to make sure I'm speaking from my heart and with love, and my relationships with them is so much… are so much better now. So just trying to incorporate all those little things into your life.
210
::Kim Lawler: daily, as often as you can, it starts to change your own mindset, and even when I'm like, oh, Kim, why'd you do that? And they're like, what, what, what? How are you talking to yourself again?
211
::Kim Lawler: You know, and reminding yourself that you still have to be nice to yourself, too.
212
::Kim Lawler: So… so yeah, it's just a lot of,
213
::Kim Lawler: The little details, as well as the big details.
214
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Do you find with meditation that
215
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: After you've practiced it for a while, that…
216
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: it becomes easier to, like, drop into that frequency that you get into in meditation, versus when you were first starting out, where, like, 3 minutes was eternity, and.
217
::Kim Lawler: Yes.
218
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: you're like, I don't get why people are doing this.
219
::Kim Lawler: Yes. And one of the people I learned from said, do a meditation for 40 days. And if you skip a day, then start over, do the 40 days.
220
::Kim Lawler: And you're right, it's just like the Kirtan Kriya, for an example, my brain starts to start thinking, because there's a specific, energy movement that you think about while you're doing it.
221
::Kim Lawler: And my brain is always like, oh yeah, yeah, it's time to do this, let's do it, let's do it. So I need to meditate every day now, pretty much.
222
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, it becomes addictive, because there's… there's, like.
223
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I know that our bodies are designed to produce chemicals, and when you talk about the heart and head connection.
224
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Oftentimes, as human beings, we try to live, like, from here up, and all the rest of this is we're trying to get it in shape and push it and manipulate it, when in reality, it all is in your head.
225
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: This is just the reaction chamber, where we're… we're sending off signals, and it produces chemicals.
226
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: In our bodies, which produce different results. Some of them are great, and some of them are like, yeah, could you knock that one off?
227
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But… You know, when you meditate, it allows your brain to just, like.
228
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Get in one spot, but it also does produce some chemicals that allow the body to also get into that connection, so that you're feeling everything and nothing.
229
::Kim Lawler: Yes.
230
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And it… it's just such a yummy space to be in.
231
::Kim Lawler: It is. And a lot of meditation, if you're doing it consistently and regularly, it reduces,
232
::Kim Lawler: cortisol, I believe, is the stress hormone, and… and it reduces that. And it's like, okay, I know I have less anxiety, I haven't been depressed for 2 years, so…
233
::Kim Lawler: for me, I know it works. I know for anybody who meditates on a regular basis, says it works, so yeah, that's…
234
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Really. And science says it works. There are lots and lots of experiments that have been done around different types of meditations.
235
::Kim Lawler: Yep.
236
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I think Transcendental Meditation is, like, the American Heart Association even endorses it as As a way to…
237
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: create proper resonance in your heart. For longevity, so…
238
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's not… it sounds woo, but it really is mainstream these days.
239
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
240
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: If you're… if you're not meditating, you're missing out.
241
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
242
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: the way I look at it.
243
::Kim Lawler: Yeah, and when you said that 3 minutes to being able to sit down and just really experience it.
244
::Kim Lawler: 100%, and I, you know, there are a lot of tips on how to go about it, and I feel like for a lot of people, a guided meditation is really the way to start, because
245
::Kim Lawler: you're not just trying to be quiet and, you know, get out of your head and all that stuff. It's they're guiding you through it, and you can, you know, just listen to them and do what they're telling you to do, and it's… it's…
246
::Kim Lawler: It's, you know, it's training wheels, but at the same time, it's really not. I mean, I do… I still do guided meditations all the time.
247
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It helps you understand if you're doing it right, because, you know, some of us are overachievers, and we're sitting there going.
248
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Because you just don't know what you don't know. And if you do…
249
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: a variety of guided meditations, especially in the beginning, and not long ones. You know, start with 5 minutes. 5 minutes is a long time when you're trying to train your brain to do something new. And it is something new, but it will get those grooves, and it will crave it. Yes. And once you start craving it, then it's like…
250
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: okay, I'm sitting down for 5 minutes, and an hour and a half goes by, and you're like.
251
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Oh, crap.
252
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I was just supposed to be here for 5 minutes!
253
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
254
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
255
::Kim Lawler: Yeah, that's the thing, my husband totally, you know, that is like a non-negotiable, I must have my meditation time, and in fact, I just, we just built a meditation shed, it's my sanctuary, so I can go and meditate and do yoga, and I can be as loud or as quiet as I want, all by myself.
256
::Kim Lawler: I love it.
257
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: for that.
258
::Kim Lawler: Yeah.
259
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: So, I know you're doing some webinars here, you want to talk about that a little bit?
260
